Sonia Gallardo - Founder of Knitting Peace

Knitting Peace was founded and is owned by creative designer Sonia Gallardo who holds a BA in Business Administration and a Masters degree in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica.

Sonia is a Bolivian native, and Los Angeles resident. Her bi-cultural upbringing developed out of having spent most of her life between La Paz and Los Angeles. Her creative roots, love for knitting, focused intention to contribute, and understanding of business makes Knitting Peace a unique social enterprise with heart, soul and future.

At the heart of Knitting Peace is our group of 22 knitters who reside within the Low Security Correctional Facility in La Paz- Bolivia. Our knitters consist of women of all ages and background, holding in common their empowered spirit and will to transcend beyond their physical world reality. knittingpeace.com
